"OmM" - On m'Mind

This is the premier entry of my new blog "OmM". It is connected to my professional consulting business, "Gregory Splinter Inc" Accessing Intuition - Emerging Breakthrough Ideas

Years ago, during one of my first days working at a large engineering office in downtown Chicago, an older co-worker shared his first day of work story. The way he told it, an HR manager caught his attention and called to him "Tom. Tom. I saw that your name in your personnel file was incorrect, and wanted to tell you that I've corrected it." My co-worker, being from India, looked at her with a stare and sternly replied in his thick Indian accent "My name is not Tom. It is Om!"

Point being? We never know what we don't know, even with good intentions. So, it is in the spirit of never really knowing what I don't know that I launch this blog "OmM" - On m'Mind.

OmM is enthusiastically misspelled as a reminder of never knowing what I don't know. OmM is about making life observations. My hope is that it will be thought provoking, but not too heavy, and funny most of the time. It will give us a forum to express our "Larry David" observations validating the profundity, absurdity and the paradox of this shared human experience we have agreed to try for a while.

"In & out, back & forth, round & round. Here I stay."

"In & out, back & forth, round & round. Here I stay."

Until next time, I leave you with a few intuitive drawings I did with my good friend, composer Bill Neil. As part of Bill’s “Project Fourth Stream,” these two pieces were done for a live performance Bill and I are currently rehearsing. Bill plays his improvisational piano while I perform improvisational art projected to the audience via big screen.

What would you like to learn about the intuitive process? How can I help you connect your intuitive abilities to your life?
